The difference between Quartile and Septile
When used as nouns, quartile means any of the three points that divide an ordered distribution into four parts, each containing a quarter of the population, whereas septile means any of the quantiles that divide an ordered sample population into seven equally numerous subsets.
Septile is also adjective with the meaning: relating to a septum.
