The difference between Septile and Ventile

When used as nouns, septile means any of the quantiles that divide an ordered sample population into seven equally numerous subsets, whereas ventile means any of the nineteen points that divide an ordered distribution into twenty parts, each containing one twentieth of the population.


Septile is also adjective with the meaning: relating to a septum.
