The difference between Median and Quartile

When used as nouns, median means a central vein or nerve, especially the median vein or median nerve running through the forearm and arm, whereas quartile means any of the three points that divide an ordered distribution into four parts, each containing a quarter of the population.

Median is also adjective with the meaning: situated in the middle.
