The difference between Percentile and Quartile

When used as nouns, percentile means any of the ninety-nine points that divide an ordered distribution into one hundred parts, each containing one per cent of the population, whereas quartile means any of the three points that divide an ordered distribution into four parts, each containing a quarter of the population.
