The difference between Median and Percentile

When used as nouns, median means a central vein or nerve, especially the median vein or median nerve running through the forearm and arm, whereas percentile means any of the ninety-nine points that divide an ordered distribution into one hundred parts, each containing one per cent of the population.


Median is also adjective with the meaning: situated in the middle.
