The difference between Median and Octile

When used as nouns, median means a central vein or nerve, especially the median vein or median nerve running through the forearm and arm, whereas octile means any of the quantiles that divide an ordered sample population into eight equally numerous subsets.

Median is also adjective with the meaning: situated in the middle.
