The difference between Median and Ventile

When used as nouns, median means a central vein or nerve, especially the median vein or median nerve running through the forearm and arm, whereas ventile means any of the nineteen points that divide an ordered distribution into twenty parts, each containing one twentieth of the population.

Median is also adjective with the meaning: situated in the middle.
