The difference between Hexadecile and Percentile

When used as nouns, hexadecile means any of the quantiles which divide an ordered sample population into sixteen equally numerous subsets, whereas percentile means any of the ninety-nine points that divide an ordered distribution into one hundred parts, each containing one per cent of the population.


Hexadecile is also adjective with the meaning: of or relating to a hexadecile.
