The difference between Intersex and Intersexuality

When used as nouns, intersex means any of a variety of conditions (in a dioecious species) whereby an individual has male and female sex characteristics, whereas intersexuality means the state of having the physical features of both sexes, or of having ambiguous sex, i.e. not unambiguously male or female.


Intersex is also verb with the meaning: to make intersex.

Intersex is also adjective with the meaning: having characteristics of both male and female sexes.
