The difference between Intersex and Pseudohermaphrodite

When used as nouns, intersex means any of a variety of conditions (in a dioecious species) whereby an individual has male and female sex characteristics, whereas pseudohermaphrodite means an individual that has the external genitalia of one sex, but the internal sex organs of the other.


Intersex is also verb with the meaning: to make intersex.

Intersex is also adjective with the meaning: having characteristics of both male and female sexes.
