The difference between Androgynous and Intersex
When used as adjectives, androgynous means possessing the sex organs of both sexes, whereas intersex means having characteristics of both male and female sexes.
Intersex is also noun with the meaning: any of a variety of conditions (in a dioecious species) whereby an individual has male and female sex characteristics.
Intersex is also verb with the meaning: to make intersex.
