The difference between Boat and Yawl

When used as nouns, boat means a craft used for transportation of goods, fishing, racing, recreational cruising, or military use on or in the water, propelled by oars or outboard motor or inboard motor or by wind, whereas yawl means a small ship's boat, usually rowed by four or six oars.

When used as verbs, boat means to travel by boat, whereas yawl means to cry out.
