The difference between Dissent and Vary
When used as nouns, dissent means disagreement with the ideas, doctrines, decrees, etc. of a political party, government or religion, whereas vary means alteration.
When used as verbs, dissent means to disagree, whereas vary means to change with time or a similar parameter.
