The difference between Agree and Dissent

When used as verbs, agree means to harmonize in opinion, statement, or action, whereas dissent means to disagree.

Dissent is also noun with the meaning: disagreement with the ideas, doctrines, decrees, etc. of a political party, government or religion.

Agree as a verb (intransitive):

To harmonize in opinion, statement, or action; to be in unison or concord; to be or become united or consistent; to concur.
