The difference between Accept and Dissent

When used as verbs, accept means to receive, especially with a consent, with favour, or with approval, whereas dissent means to disagree.


Accept is also adjective with the meaning: accepted.

Dissent is also noun with the meaning: disagreement with the ideas, doctrines, decrees, etc. of a political party, government or religion.
