The difference between Consensus and Dissent
When used as nouns, consensus means a process of decision-making that seeks widespread agreement among group members, whereas dissent means disagreement with the ideas, doctrines, decrees, etc. of a political party, government or religion.
Dissent is also verb with the meaning: to disagree.
