The difference between Subordinate and Superior

When used as nouns, subordinate means one who is subordinate, whereas superior means a person of higher rank or quality.

When used as adjectives, subordinate means placed in a lower class, rank, or position, whereas superior means higher in quality.


Subordinate is also verb with the meaning: to make subservient.
