The difference between Commander and Subordinate

When used as nouns, commander means one who exercises control and direction of a military or naval organization, whereas subordinate means one who is subordinate.


Subordinate is also verb with the meaning: to make subservient.

Subordinate is also adjective with the meaning: placed in a lower class, rank, or position.
