The difference between Lenient and Safe

When used as nouns, lenient means a lenitive, whereas safe means a box, usually made of metal, in which valuables can be locked for safekeeping.

When used as adjectives, lenient means lax, whereas safe means not in danger.

Safe is also verb with the meaning: to make something safe.
