The difference between Enemy and Friend
When used as nouns, enemy means someone who is hostile to, feels hatred towards, opposes the interests of, or intends injury to someone else, whereas friend means a person other than a family member, spouse or lover whose company one enjoys and towards whom one feels affection.
Enemy is also adjective with the meaning: of, relating to, or belonging to an enemy.
Friend is also verb with the meaning: to act as a friend to, to befriend.
