The difference between Decimal and Vigesimal

When used as nouns, decimal means a number expressed in the base-ten system, a fractional numeral written in this system, whereas vigesimal means a twentieth part.

When used as adjectives, decimal means concerning numbers expressed in decimal or mathematical calculations performed using decimal, whereas vigesimal means occurring in intervals of twenty.


Decimal is also verb with the meaning: to represent with numbers after a decimal point.
