The difference between Decile and Sextile

When used as nouns, decile means any of the values in a series that divides the distribution of individuals in that series into ten groups of equal frequency, whereas sextile means the specific term used for a quantile of six equal proportions.


Sextile is also adjective with the meaning: of or denoting the aspect or position of any two celestial bodies separated by 60.
