The difference between Cripple and Nerf

When used as nouns, cripple means a person who has severely impaired physical abilities because of deformation, injury, or amputation of parts of the body, whereas nerf means the weakening or worsening of a character, a weapon, a spell, etc.

When used as verbs, cripple means to make someone a cripple, whereas nerf means to bump lightly, whether accidentally or purposefully.
