The difference between Another and Other
When used as determiners, another means one more, in addition to a former number, whereas other means not the one or ones previously referred to.
Another is also pronoun with the meaning: an additional one of the same kind.
Other is also noun with the meaning: an other one, more often rendered as another.
Other is also adverb with the meaning: apart from.
Other is also verb with the meaning: to regard, label or treat as an "other", as not part of the same group.
