The difference between Tail and Toe

When used as nouns, tail means the caudal appendage of an animal that is attached to its posterior and near the anus, whereas toe means each of the five digits on the end of the foot.

When used as verbs, tail means to follow and observe surreptitiously, whereas toe means to furnish (a stocking, etc.) with a toe.
