The difference between So and Yea

When used as nouns, so means a syllable used in solfège to represent the fifth note of a major scale, whereas yea means an affirmative vote, usually but not always spoken.

When used as conjunctions, so means in order that, whereas yea means or even, or more like, nay.

When used as adverbs, so means to the (explicitly stated) extent that, whereas yea means yes.


So is also adjective with the meaning: true, accurate.

Yea is also interjection with the meaning: yeah, right, yes.
