The difference between Aye and Yea

When used as interjections, aye means yes, whereas yea means yeah, right, yes.

When used as nouns, aye means an affirmative vote, whereas yea means an affirmative vote, usually but not always spoken.

When used as adverbs, aye means ever, always, whereas yea means yes.


Yea is also conjunction with the meaning: or even, or more like, nay.
