The difference between Faction and Part
When used as nouns, faction means a group of people, especially within a political organization, which expresses a shared belief or opinion different from people who are not part of the group, whereas part means a fraction of a whole.
Part is also adverb with the meaning: partly.
Part is also verb with the meaning: to leave someone's company.
