The difference between Element and Part

When used as nouns, element means any one of the simplest chemical substances that cannot be decomposed in a chemical reaction or by any chemical means and made up of atoms all having the same number of protons, whereas part means a fraction of a whole.

When used as verbs, element means to compound of elements, whereas part means to leave someone's company.


Part is also adverb with the meaning: partly.
