The difference between Exaggerate and Overexaggerate
When used as verbs, exaggerate means to overstate, to describe more than is fact, whereas overexaggerate means to exaggerate, to overstate excessively.

Exaggerate as a verb:
To overstate, to describe more than is fact.
Examples:
"I've told you a [[billion]] times not to exaggerate!"
"He said he'd slept with hundreds of girls, but I know he's exaggerating. The real number is about ten."

Overexaggerate as a verb:
To exaggerate, to overstate excessively.
Examples:
"That math test was so hard, nobody could have passed it! Albert Einstein couldn't have done it! Our professor probably had no idea how to solve those equations! I mean-"
"I get it, OK? Quit overexaggerating!"
