The difference between Belittle and Exaggerate

When used as verbs, belittle means to knowingly say that something is smaller or less important than it actually is, whereas exaggerate means to overstate, to describe more than is fact.

    To knowingly say that something is smaller or less important than it actually is.

    Examples:

    To overstate, to describe more than is fact.

    Examples:
