The difference between Disconnected and Remote

When used as adjectives, disconnected means that is no longer connected, whereas remote means at a distance.

Remote is also verb with the meaning: to connect to a computer from a remote location.

Disconnected as a verb:

Disconnected as an adjective:

That is no longer connected.

Examples:

"There's no use trying to make a call on the disconnected phone."
Disconnected as an adjective:

Feeling a lack of empathy or association with something.
