The difference between Despect and Respect

When used as nouns, despect means contempt, derision, whereas respect means an attitude of consideration or high regard.

When used as verbs, despect means to hold in contempt, to despise, to look down on, to scorn, whereas respect means to have respect for.

Respect is also interjection with the meaning: hello, hi.
