The difference between Despect and Despite
When used as nouns, despect means contempt, derision, whereas despite means disdain, contemptuous feelings, hatred.
When used as verbs, despect means to hold in contempt, to despise, to look down on, to scorn, whereas despite means to vex.
Despite is also preposition with the meaning: in spite of, notwithstanding, regardless of.
