The difference between Bass and Perch

When used as nouns, bass means a low spectrum of sound tones, whereas perch means any of the three species of spiny-finned freshwater fish in the genus perca.

When used as verbs, bass means to sound in a deep tone, whereas perch means to rest on (or as if on) a perch.
