The difference between Accessory and Supplement

When used as nouns, accessory means something that belongs to part of another main thing, whereas supplement means something added, especially to make up for a deficiency.


Accessory is also adjective with the meaning: having a secondary, supplementary or subordinate function by accompanying as a subordinate.

Supplement is also verb with the meaning: to provide or make a supplement to something.
