The difference between Accessory and Subsidiary

When used as nouns, accessory means something that belongs to part of another main thing, whereas subsidiary means a company owned by a parent company or a holding company, also called daughter company or sister company.

When used as adjectives, accessory means having a secondary, supplementary or subordinate function by accompanying as a subordinate, whereas subsidiary means auxiliary or supplemental.
