The difference between Material and Mundane

When used as nouns, material means matter which may be shaped or manipulated, particularly in making something, whereas mundane means an unremarkable, ordinary human being.

When used as adjectives, material means having to do with matter, whereas mundane means worldly, earthly, profane, vulgar as opposed to heavenly.


Material is also verb with the meaning: to form from matter.
