The difference between Increase and Increment
When used as nouns, increase means an amount by which a quantity is increased, whereas increment means the action of increasing or becoming greater.
When used as verbs, increase means (of a quantity, etc.) to become larger or greater, whereas increment means to increase by steps or by a step, especially by one.
