The difference between Eternal and Everlasting

When used as nouns, eternal means one who lives forever, whereas everlasting means an everlasting flower.

When used as adjectives, eternal means lasting forever, whereas everlasting means lasting or enduring forever.


Everlasting is also adverb with the meaning: extremely.
