The difference between Emulate and Simulate
When used as verbs, emulate means to attempt to equal or be the same as, whereas simulate means to model, replicate, duplicate the behavior, appearance or properties of.
When used as adjectives, emulate means striving to excel, whereas simulate means feigned.
