The difference between Contradictory and Oxymoron
When used as nouns, contradictory means either of a pair of propositions, that cannot both be true or both be false, whereas oxymoron means a figure of speech in which two words or phrases with opposing meanings are used together intentionally for effect.
Contradictory is also adjective with the meaning: that contradicts something, such as an argument.
