The difference between Contradictory and Incompatible

When used as nouns, contradictory means either of a pair of propositions, that cannot both be true or both be false, whereas incompatible means an incompatible substance.

When used as adjectives, contradictory means that contradicts something, such as an argument, whereas incompatible means of two things: that cannot coexist.
