The difference between Shorthanded and Underhanded
When used as adverbs, shorthanded means in a shorthanded manner, whereas underhanded means in an underhanded manner.
When used as adjectives, shorthanded means lacking sufficient staff or people, as for normal or efficient operations, whereas underhanded means done by moving the hand (and arm) from below.
Underhanded is also noun with the meaning: devious people, collectively.
