The difference between Sec and Second

When used as nouns, sec means second, of a minute, whereas second means one that is number two in a series.


Second is also adverb with the meaning: after the first.

Second is also verb with the meaning: to agree as a second person to (a proposal), usually to reach a necessary quorum of two. (see under #etymology 3 for translations.).

Second is also adjective with the meaning: number-two.
