The difference between Recant and Unspeak
When used as verbs, recant means to withdraw or repudiate a statement or opinion formerly expressed, especially formally and publicly, whereas unspeak means to retract what one has spoken, to unsay.

To withdraw or repudiate a statement or opinion formerly expressed, especially formally and publicly.
Examples:
"Convince me that I am wrong, and I will recant."
