The difference between Quick and Speedy
When used as verbs, quick means to amalgamate surfaces prior to gilding or silvering by dipping them into a solution of mercury in nitric acid, whereas speedy means to process in a faster than normal, accelerated way.
When used as adjectives, quick means moving with speed, rapidity or swiftness, or capable of doing so, whereas speedy means rapid.
Quick is also noun with the meaning: raw or sensitive flesh, especially that underneath finger and toe nails.
