The difference between Preloved and Unused

When used as adjectives, preloved means used, whereas unused means not used.

  1. Preloved as an adjective (euphemistic):

    used; previously owned by somebody else.

  1. Unused as an adjective (not comparable):

    Not used.

    Examples:

    "I have two unused vouchers for a free meal."

  2. Unused as an adjective:

    Not accustomed (to), unfamiliar with.

    Examples:

    "I am unused to the dark nights of the countryside."
