The difference between Plan and Purpose

When used as nouns, plan means a drawing showing technical details of a building, machine, etc., with unwanted details omitted, and often using symbols rather than detailed drawing to represent doors, valves, etc, whereas purpose means an object to be reached.

When used as verbs, plan means to design (a building, machine, etc.), whereas purpose means to have set as one's purpose.
