The difference between Pervert and Profane

When used as nouns, pervert means one who has been perverted, whereas profane means a person or thing that is profane.

When used as verbs, pervert means to turn another way, whereas profane means to violate (something sacred).


Profane is also adjective with the meaning: unclean.
